Dr. Erika Ebbel Angle, CEO and co-founder of Ixcela, earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Boston University and a B.S. from MIT. In 2002, she founded Science from Scientists, a nonprofit improving STEM education for children. She has received numerous accolades, including Boston University’s Young Alumni Award, Boston Business Journal's 40 Under 40, and L’Oreal’s Woman of Worth. She serves on MIT’s visiting committee and is a STEM speaker for the U.S. Department of State, also hosting educational TV shows for kids.

Ixcela is a health company focused on restoring internal balance and improving gut microbiome health. Using a simple pinprick blood test, Ixcela analyzes key small-molecule metabolites linked to gut health, identifying imbalances that may lead to chronic conditions like Alzheimer's, diabetes, and digestive issues. Their personalized approach includes proprietary supplements, nutrition, and fitness plans to restore optimal health. 🎙 ABOUT JOHN MARCHICA, HOST OF HEALTH CARE ROUNDS:

John Marchica is a veteran health care strategist and CEO of Darwin Research Group, a strategic consulting and market intelligence firm focused on hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and the evolving health care ecosystem. John has a degree in economics from Knox College, an MBA and M.A. in public policy from the University of Chicago, and completed his Ph.D. coursework at The Dartmouth Institute. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is pursuing certification as a Fellow.
